Many people find it thrilling that the mantra of "change" is ringing out across the land during this election year. But let's do what the politicians hope that we will never do -- stop and think.
トマス ソーウェルがバラク オバマを批判したコラム。やはりオバマには内容も実力もないのだろう。changeというスローガンの無意味さを批判している。
しかし対立となる共和党の候補にあまり有力な候補がいないので、今回は民主党から大統領がでると予想されているようだが、Obamaだろうとクリントンだろうと、やはり民主党から大統領がでると最悪だろう。
前のクリントンの民主党政権では、民主党的な社民政策をとらずに、レーガンからの自由化路線を踏襲したところがあり、それがそれなりに成功した。
だがミセス クリントンになると、アメリカの福島瑞穂みたいな印象があり、かなりファナティックだ。（もちろん、クリントンと福島では格が違いすぎるが。）
所詮、オバマだろとクリントンだろうと社民主義者の争いであるから、どちらも話にならない。前回、ブッシュJrが再選されたのも、私は基本的にベターな選択だったろうと考える。
民主党になっていれば、その公約どおりイラク問題はもっと泥沼化したのは確実だ。
こういう簡単明白な事実さえ、日本のメディアからは得られない。
